The experience was absolutely amazing. The beds were comfortable and the 3 balconies were all incredible. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and dining. Can't recommend enough.

This was the Perfect place to stay on Kauai. It is centrally located near everything. You can walk to the beach across the street, lots of little shops and great restaurants within walking distance. And the location was a short drive to major shopping centers, stores and Costco. We loved it and can't wait to come back.

The location was optimal - equidistant to both the north (Honelei) and south (Waimea Canyon) ends of the island. We enjoyed the pool on the property each evening. However, here were our disappointments: check-in was fine but to pay $20 (non-returnable) for the keycards to enter the unit was ridiculous! The furnishings in the unit were cheap/low quality. Clock on the wall wasn't working. It had long ago leaked dead batteries in it. The TV/cable set-up was so complicated we couldn't get it to work. In addition, the batteries in the remote were dead. Was told I had to get an appointment with a maintenance man to bring fresh ones by. Wanted to borrow some boogie boards from management. In midday, the activities director was absent (she was home). Told I had to pay a rental charge to borrow them. I found the nickel and dime-ing to be annoying. To term this place a resort - it had few amenities to have such a designation - is misleading. It is only a collection of rental units. Would not recommend. I hope improvements can be made based on my criticisms.

This was our first visit to Hawaii. We travelled for a tournament at Kalapaki beach. The location was perfect for this event. Short walk across the street - and we were there!
Kanani and the Banyon Harbour team were very accommodating. They adjusted our stay at the last minute to allow part of our group to arrive a day early. The condo occupancy is listed as 5 people, but we had 6 (3 couples) and they allowed it with no issues (there was an additional cleaning fee - which we felt was reasonable).
Kauai is less touristy than some of the other islands (for example: a lot of businesses close around 3:00). This was an important factor in my rating. Kauai, to me, felt about as authentic Hawaiian as a mainlander can get. Almost like travelling to a foreign country.
With that in mind - the beds were comfortable even the pullout sofa bed was more comfortable than just about every other one I've slept on. The shower was fine. Water pressure was good. I've seen reviews complain about running out of hot water, but we didn't personally experience that.
The kitchen had all the necessary amenities and utensils.
Cooling uses window units - which we only used at night. During the daytime we were mostly out exploring or playing, so we used the screen doors. The breeze kept us very comfortable.
We didn't watch much if any TV so I really can't comment much on that.

In summary, if you are looking to stay in a modern condo with all the latest amenities and fashionable furnishings there are several high end resorts that looked great. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, centrally located, accommodation at a reasonable price, then this is it!

I absolutely love staying here! You are at the perfect spot if you plan on exploring the whole island during your stay. YOu are directly across the street from a fantastic beach and excellent restaurants. The pool and BBQ area are great and this unit is close to extra parking. The unit is clean, well-stocked with supplies and has a spacious layout. We will definitely stay here again.

We travelled to Kaua ´i for the unending beaches and hikes with our family of five and stayed two weeks at Banyan Harbour. We appreciated the unit ´s central location on the island; walking distance to a nice beach, very close to groceries and shopping and halfway between the west coast and the north shore. The unit is a little dated but offered everything our family needed. Washer and dryer were a plus following mud themed hikes. The surroundings are very quiet. There is a nice pool with views on the premises. Overall we recommend mainly for location, and calmness of the surroundings.

Wonderful experience with first time renting a condo! The facility was well stocked, comfortable, and close to everything! We had a couple of issues with the A/C and living room fan, contacted the property mgt company and they sent Phillip. He was speedy, super polite, and very professional in fixing the issues. WOW!!!
My only complaint was the parking - not much parking - no turn-a-rounds available and it was difficult to maneuver with a larger sized SUV. Other than that - I would definitely recommend this property while in Kauai!

The condo we rented was perfect for two couples. We had all the amenities for a great stay. It was nice and clean.

We arrived for a conference nearby, four women doctors, used to travel and it’s vagaries. The place was clean, although one stove burner was unplugged. Our major complaint was that the cruise ships come in quite nearby and loud partying was heard until 2-3 am, very hard to sleep. Then there were late night parties in the parking lot, also undampened until waaay after midnight. The guard quoted them down after we complained more than once. Not the place for a honeymoon. On the positive side the employees were wonderful and helpful and there was beach equipment left for us including an umbrella.

First let me say it is a great location. Convenient for the Island and airport. Having 2 bedrooms and baths is a great thing. Washer and dryer is a great thing. Kitchen is well furnished and furniture is comfortable to rest after a long day of fun. With 3 AC’s the property cools off quickly so turn them off while you’re out exploring. This is a great place and value.

This was a great spot for wanting to get around the whole island within a week. Location was very nice. Stay here for the location, friendliness, affordability. It’s not a fancy resort-which we liked and didn’t want to pay for. It doesn’t have a great view but so close to amazing views.

This property was as listed. Location was perfect for walking to the beach or popping over to Costco/Target and fairly centrally located for driving to the sites we wanted to see. Condo was comfortable and felt safe and was just what we needed to be able to cook some meals and sleep- nothing too fancy but well priced and a bit of a view of the ocean made for a nice stay. Host was very communicative and responded quickly.

We loved our visit to Banyon Harbor Resort. Very quiet and private just what we were looking for. The only suggestion would be an airport shuttle since getting to and from the airport was difficult. We had and early flight and would have missed the plane had it not been for the Kauai bus. Our condo was very nice and even the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler were a nice touch.

Banyan Harbor was convenient to shops and restaurants and nearby hotel properties. The condo was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. Garden Island Properties was also very nice and responsive. We had a good stay.

The #1 advantage of this property is the location in Lihue. Across the street from Kalapaki Beach. Close to stores and airport. Easy to venture to the North side and South/West Side of the Kauai. A couple negatives. The AC was very loud in the 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor. The location of this AC was above the front door and it was dripping water when on and going in and out of the front door was tricky as you were getting dripped on and the floor was slippery. You could easier fall due to all the water. This was a concern with our 86 yo Mother. The kitchen cabinets were very sticky and needs to have a deep clean. Another guest had mentioned it and I definitely understand why. I hated opening the cabinets because it was so dirty/grimey. The countertops were granite and very nice so its odd the cabinets were not updated when the countertops were done. The shower was wonderful. Good pressure.
Size of unit was perfect for the 4 of us. I would stay at Banyon Harbor but not sure if I would choose this unit only because of the cleanliness issue in the Kitchen. Loved dealing with the Sarah in the office of Garden Island Properties. She was very helpful during the reservation process. I would use your vacation rental service again.

The condo is clean and nice. Beach chairs and cooler is a plus. Swimming pool is nice with bbq grill that you can use while your family is swimming. We had a blast! Will come back when pandemic is over.

My wife and I visited Kauai for the first time and decided to rent a 2 bedrooms condo in Lihue, which is very close to the airport and restaurants. The location is perfect, specially if you don’t have a rental car. The. I do is equipped with washer & dryer, full kitchen facilities and utensils. The rental cost is reasonable. Easy checked in process with nice and accommodating staff. The online check out process is very convenient and user friendly. Kudos to Garden Island Properties staff for their thorough online instructions. They called me to welcome us and offered any further assistance and information they can provide, including the latest information on COVID-19 situations and visitors requirements traveling to the island. We do appreciate the constant follow up communication to keep us abreast of the current situation to avoid any confusion and surprises. We had an awesome stay in this condo. Everything was provited, incl.perfect beach gear. The condo is big and had aircondition and 3 balconys. The pool is on the hill and there is a beatyfull view to the beach. If we come again to Kauai we will stay here again. Amazing!

The place wasn't bad, but was dated. The front desk was helpful and nice. Inside the unit, it had what looked like early 2000's decor and the carpet was well worn both upstairs and down. At night you could hear a lot of traffic and noise from the road/port. The one new thing was the new counter top on top of very aged cabinets. The grill and pool area at the resort was nice and it was centrally located for what we were doing on the island. Not too bad for the price.

We liked the condo, it was very clean and quiet. It was fully equipped with all the things that we needed. Loved that we had beach chairs, beach towels and umbrella to use. Wish the view was nicer, we love to sit outside but were not crazy about overlooking the parking lot.

This condo easily met our needs! Also, I have rented many beach houses over the last 30 years and this was hands down, the cleanest unit I have ever stayed in. The condo was also well appointed with everything a small family needs for cooking in and days at the beach. The view from the balconies is only a peek-a-boo ocean view due to the placement of the building on the property, but the beach is just a short walk across the street and park. And the lack of a full ocean view is more than reflected in the price. As always, Garden Island Properties was polite, professional, and easy to work with.

The rental was exactly as expected. It was clean and well set up to cook our own meals. The “laundry starter kit” with the pods were such a nice touch. Plenty of towels, for bathing and beach. 3 balconies was so nice too!! I would definitely go back again.
