Cozy and affordable 720 square feet, 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment unit just a 2 minute walk to Famous Poipu Beach and Brenneckes Beach. Portable AC in the living room and bedrooms. This property does not have a pool or lanai but is only 175 yards to the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. Second walk-up, no elevator.
We provide beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and a small cooler for your use during your stay.
2 King beds and pack n play crib available upon request (crib linens not provided).
This beach side apartment offers tropical furnishings, tasteful artwork and bamboo flooring.
King bed in the Bamboo bedroom and King in Honu (Hawaiian Turtle) bedroom. With living area of 720 square feet, the property is located in a small 8 unit apartment complex a block from Poipu Beach. Second floor unit (no elevator). Sleeps 4.
Prepare meals in a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and stainless steel appliances.
The unit is equipped with ceiling fans, and ocean breezes. Flat screen HD TV in the living room, Complimentary Wifi and Parking included. Hale Kahanalu is a quite 8 unit apartment complex that offers one covered assigned parking.
Hale Kahanalu means "House by the Surf". Relax to the crashing waves and feel the cool ocean breezes as you soak in the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy beautiful south-side sunsets year-round and whale watching from Poipu Beach in the winter months. This property is conveniently located a block to Poipu Beach Park rated by Travel Channel as "America's Best Beaches".
Poipu Beach Park and Brenneckes Beach offers body surfing, surfing, snorkeling, sandy beaches, life-guarded kids pond, playground, grassy park with bathrooms, pavilion, picnic tables, showers and more just steps away! Walk to Brennecke's Beach Broiler Restaurant, Brennecke's Deli or Nukumoi Surf Company.

I love the location of this rental a 2 minute walk to the beach. Cozy apartment could use better knives and silverware. The living room furniture really needs improvement but you can’t beat the location. Next time I may rent another unit with better furniture and more pleasant and comfortable accommodations. But the rental process was smooth. And the apartment served our needs just fine. We were happy with our stay.

This was a great place to stay while we were there. The two bedrooms worked well for our family. It's so close to both Brenneke and Poipu beaches and Brenneke bar and restaurant. Due to weather issues on the island, we were unable to eat at Brenneke's nor make use of the beach gear. We did see a few turtles on the beach, which was great for our daughter. Garden Island worked a lot with us on our overall stay and was able to get us to a different property when unexpected and very abnormal flooding occurred on the roads in the immediate area (there was over 3" rain in one night and was going to be over 2" a few days later, which would cause even more flooding). Thank you so much for the stay at this property!

We were not disappointed by the Hale Kahanalu rental. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. It was less than 100 yards to Poipu beach so taking beach chairs, cooler and umbrella, (all provided), to the beach was super easy and we didn't have to worry about finding parking at the beach.

Check in and checkout were easy, using a keypad system. The bedrooms were smaller than we expected, but were fine for our needs. The kitchen was stocked with basics. The beds were comfortable and the AC was helpful on warmer days. It’s about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach park and two beaches! We saw the sea turtles in the evenings on the beach! The waves could be heard from the front room and kitchen! Old Koloa town is just a few minutes away by car, which was great for shopping, dining, groceries.

Comfortable condo very close to the beach. Easy access to Poipu and Old town Koloa. Very quiet neighborhood. Only down side was parking spot is super tight, we ended up turning our rental car in for a smaller car as the Murano we had did not fit. Kitchen fairly well stocked for cooking, however the BBQ had no propane and is pretty well used. Air condition works well, lovely after the Hawai’i Sun.

Loved it here. Very beautiful and peaceful. Location great to surrounding areas. Napili boat tour a must do. Also Waimea Canyon a must see. Everything was great. There is a drinking glass with a crack in it and the beach umbrella is broken. Sad to be leaving.

The location was fantastic. The unit was clean and and in overall good condition. There is a slight sulfur odor from the drains especially in the bathroom sink. The only thing that needs improvement is your after-hours emergency process. We were given two numbers to call. One number said the mailbox was full, the other was just a VM. The power to the unit went down on Friday evening. I called and left a message. After not getting a response, we enlisted our electrician son-in-law to try and figure out the issue which ended up being the main shut-off had tripped at the meter and he got power back on. Seems like it was a couple hours later I called back and left a second VM that we had resolved the issue, but still had not received any communication from your after-hours person by that time, nor ever. Didn't give us much confidence in getting help.

Condo is so close to the BEST beach in Kauai. Saw sea turtles everyday on the beach, great snorkeling too. Condo was clean, air conditioning worked great, had a lot of cooking equipment to accommodate us too. We'd stay there again!

Perfect location! Walk to the beach, no need to worry about finding a parking spot. We watched the turtles arrive in the evening and leave in the mornings. Walked up the road for beautiful sunrises, to the beach for sunsets. Multiple restaurants within walking distance also. Apartment was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

The location was great. The apartment was just down the street from the beach and around the corner from a deli and is a cute apartment that was clean and had everything we needed. The sofas weren’t that comfortable but fine. It was nice that you could relax on the sofa and see the park and water from the living room. It was cozy and will rent it again when I visit Kauai again.

Garden island property are just awesome! We had a great experience staying at this place, the communication was very fast and clear. The place is just what we needed for us (2 adults and 2 small kids). The beach is only one block away, my kids favorite thing was to go in the morning to see the turtles going back in the water. We are definitely coming back next year! Mahalo!

This place was amazing for 4 of us. 5 min walk to beach and store/food. Everything was as listed and ended up having a great time… definitely recommend. I appreciated all the amenities (towels, beach chairs, kitchen utensils). Great location. Also appreciated the AC units

This was such a great place to stay with very easy access to the beach. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our time here. Poipu is an excellent place to stay to get to everything. Loved scuba diving, going to Haena State Park, ziplining, and of course the beach. There are also many great restaurants nearby.

Poipu is very busy area and we didn't really go here for the beaches at poipu, but this was the best location we could find for our plans. Definitely lots of less popular beaches just a short drive away (salt pond is 25 mins), or if you have time polihale state park is an hour but the best beach on the island. The road is rough but doable in a normal rental car. The apartment had everything to cook with except spices, cold air conditioning, beach towels/ chairs/ umbrella. Very clean and the beds were really comfortable. We had a problem with the power going out in the entire unit 930 Friday night and received a return call within 20 minutes. Turns out the main breaker had tripped and I just flipped the switch. No big deal. I'd stay here again

Perfect location. Quiet. Clean. Cozy. Friendly neighbors. Enjoyed being so close to beach - sea turtles, monk seals, was a blast.
*Bring quarters. Laundry only take quarters and businesses in the area won't break dollars for change.

The unit was one block from the beach. Very clean. Air conditioners to keep the unit cool, nice tropical decor. All the kitchen appliances and supplies you would ever need.
Beach chairs and towels were on hand.
The only slight, very slight issue wad we couldn't get the tv to work. We did call the management company but no one answered.... However we were on vacation and getting news was not a high priority!

The location to Poipu beach is great. Just a block walk and you’re there. The unit has everything you could need and a view of the ocean from the living room. The fridge has an ice maker and water, very helpful!! The beds are large and the air conditioners are a life saver. I would hands down stay in this location again and if I had my preference, I’d just never leave!! Garden Island properties does a great job and Sara specifically was very helpful anytime I needed to call for anything. Book this place in confidence you’ll be happy you did.

Really enjoyed our stay so close to the beach. The AC units were a must have. The manager was super responsive and flexible. Only suggestion would be to update furniture and bathroom. Otherwise you can't beat the location or price.

I was very pleased with our stay at Hale Kahanalu #4. The location was one block from the beach and wonderful snorkeling and viewing resting turtles and monk seals. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen, it was a comfortable stay! The manager was very accommodating. My family was very happy with our stay.

We came for a mellow week on Kauai and this was the perfect spot! We could walk to Poipu Beach and a few shops and restaurants such as Brenneckes Beach Broiler and Nukamoi Surf shop. Also a short drive from the shopping centers and other restaurants. We found the apartment to be very clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed like beach chairs, cooler, towels, etc. Really happy with the portable AC units in each room and kept us cool on hot days. Management was quick to respond, super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Kauai!

Very happy with the week we spent here. Quiet, older condo building. Everything was clean and in good working order, and all kitchen extras are supplied. Beach chairs and umbrella were a nice plus. Master bed was super comfy, we had really great sleeps here. Walls are thin though, something to keep in mind. Parking a bit tight, just take your time getting in and out. Not fancy, but a great price and location cant be beat! Aloha!
