Kaha Lani Resort #109, Ocean View, Ground Floor

This is a very well maintained condominium property - the grounds are beautiful, the location is serene with the ability to walk long stretches of deserted beach. The unit itself was furnished well, clean, stocked with everything we needed, hearing the waves crashing on the beach wonderful. It was very relaxing hanging out on the chaise lounges enjoying the view, the tropical breeze and listening to the ocean. Good value. Good location on the Island to get to where we wanted to go. Very happy with our choice.

We loved our stay! The condo was so clean and perfect for the 2 of us. I loved being on the ground floor and being able to walk right out toward the pool and the ocean. There is a walking path that we enjoyed every morning that goes right along the coast. There is no A/C, but there was a floor fan in the closet that worked perfectly. We would definitely come back.

We had a fantastic one week stay! The home came with everything we could have needed - beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, etc. It was very clean and location was great. The host was very responsive and graciously allowed us to check in early at no cost. Overall, it was one of the best trips we’ve taken and that was in large part because of our fantastic stay!

It was very positive. The location is lovely. Beach is beautiful but not safe for swimming. How ever there is a swimming and snorkeling location nearby. The island has a lot of chickens and roosters so one does have a natural alarm clock

We have rented this condo twice and love it. We have rented in Kaha Lani resort three times and will continue as it is centrally located on the island. 10 minutes from the airport.

Kaha Lani is in a prime location, being almost central to Kauai. The ocean views are incredible, and the sunrises are brilliant. Walking the Lydgate path and going to Lydgate Park to swim is a great bonus if you aren't adept at big surf wave breaks. If you think you need air con, this is not your unit. However, getting acclimatized and being happy with the ocean breeze and fans is easy. Also, #109 is right in front of the pool, which makes evening Tiki Torch swims super convenient.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here while we vacationed in Kauai. It was in a great cental location within driving distance from all the different coasts (North, South and West). Super clean and easy to access after our long travels. Within walking distance to the beach where we watched the sunrise every morning. Quiet at night. We did hear roosters at 4:30/5 in the morning, but it is what it is. They’re everywhere on the island! We were able to stay cool at night opening the windows and keeping the fans on. It was a fantastic place to stay with it being our first time in Kaua’i. I would absolutely stay here again if we came. Mahalo!

This was a beautiful rental! We were in unit 109 which had a few steps to get down into but was ground level to walk right out to the patio and then grass. We loved that patio walkout for easy pool/ ocean access. The large windows and sliders to view the pool and the ocean were awesome. The kitchen worked great for our weeklong visit, and the closet was stocked with some fun beach accessories that came in very handy! The grounds keeper at this complex did such an amazing job at keeping everything looking so beautiful the pool was a great size and it was easy to walk to the beach. I would love to stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!

The location was unmatched. To be able to walk from our couch to the beach in 50 yards or less was heavenly. The pool was so close too and perfect for taking a quick dip and hoping out to our lanai. I honestly can’t wait to stay here again, it was the perfect size for my husband, daughter and I. The kitchen amenities were wonderful as well as the beach items. The towels we had to wash midstay (we were there seven days) but it was no big deal and we just washed them with a load of our own clothes. We absolutely loved Kaha Lani!!

We rented a condo on the beach for our stay. The condo was as described. It was small but suitable with a full kitchen, decently sized bedroom and bed, the bathroom was updated with a lovely shower and the view was amazing! It was clean, homey, and conveniently located by the airport. Perfect to leave the screen door open and listen to the ocean. There is no AC! This may be obvious, but can be easily missed in the description.

Clean and in a good location but sounds like you are in a tent. Unit has louvered windows (poor sound barrier when closed) but have to stay open for airflow. Woken frequently by roosters crowing at all hours. Bedroom window also 15 feet from parking so heard all coming and going including car lights shining directly in from clueless neighbor arriving late. Limited privacy from foot traffic past sliding glass doors near pool. Otherwise unit is well stocked and management was very friendly and responsive. If you sleep like a rock, you should enjoy this unit.

As described and good location. Rental could use some TLC. A good deep cleaning, new couch that doesn’t squeak, larger matching beach towels. Attention to every day living needs. Property management was willing to drop off dish soap and paper towels that were over looked. Also about 4 lightbulbs out. We declined and took care of ourselves. Didn’t want to be bothered. You’ll have to deal with chickens on the lower level rentals.

Everything was as advertised. Location is great if you're planning to visit all portions of the island. Only 30-45 minutes to the far north or south ends of the island. Stunning sunrises. Pool is right sized for a quick dip in the morning or afternoon. This unit fronts the pool making access super easy. The property could us a spot to charge EV's. Even a standard 120v exterior outlet would help. My wife and I would stay again.

We have made numerous trips to Kauai over the years, but have never stayed on the Coconut Coast (we almost always stay up in Princeville). Decided to try something new this trip, and we are so glad we did. Unit #109 was splendid! Loved having a condo on the ground floor with easy access to the pool and bbq, not to mention a very quick walk to the beach, which on most days was completely deserted! Unit was clean, well stocked, and very functional for my wife and I. The grounds themselves are meticulously maintained, with lots of open grass for a quick stroll. We loved sitting out on the Lanai each night, taking in the sound of the ocean, and enjoying the tiki torches around the pool area. Sunrises each morning were also spectacular! Highly recommend this unit and the property as a whole. Thank you for hosting us! We will be back again soon.

This place was perfect for us! This was the first time we’ve had a ground floor unit and we loved the flow of space from inside, to the patio, to the pool, boardwalk and beach! Never a problem with parking at this complex. Location was in the middle of all sights we hoped to see. Would definitely stay here again!

Very good experience. Super simple with online communication. Just showed up with door code and moved in. Rental had a lot of stuff to help with vacation like a cooler and umbrellas and sand toys. Nice room, right across from pool. Just wish it had AC, but knew that going in.

Condo was as described. Well maintained and in good condition. The condo had all modern amenities except for AC. It can quite hot even in November. They do supply a lot of fans. Property management was very easy to reach and very responsive. We found that the TV was broken upon arrival and they replaced it the next day. Great view of the sunrise (faces east). The condo is in a quieter area but a quick drive to Kapaa and Lihue

The location is perfect. It is only 10 mins away from Kapaa town. I the price for this unit is a reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

**** getting on the Island. We were one week in Hawaii, one in Maui. No additional testing required. When we moved to Kauai we were refused entry. No current test. No information. Overnight back in Oahu and then returned next day. Very frustrating. Not your concern. Maybe we could have picked up that bit of information somewhere along the line. But did not get the memo. We should have not been allowed on the flight to Kauai without knowing this information. Go figure. There were many many people in line to get the test in Honolulu for the very same reason. Felt like we got scammed. We really liked the property and location once we figured out the homeless situation next door. It was a little uncomfortable at first.

This place is the best!!! The property is beautifully kept and so convenient to the pool and beach sunrise every morning. The room is nicely decorted and so comfortable. Loved my stay!

A few downsides to our stay, upon check in to room 109 the code we were provided upon booking was invalid to enter the room, it was a Saturday so the main office was closed when i tried to call and figure it out but thankfully after calling the emergency number they were quick to respond. I was provided with another code that again did not work, after about 30 minutes maintenance arrived to check it out- Christian was very nice and helpful, but it ended up being a malfunction with the entire lock system that had to be replaced, it was 3 hours after arrival that we were finally able to enter the room and unpack, not how we wanted to spend our first few hours on vacation.

The room was very nice once we were able to enter, however, the handle on the refrigerator door broke when trying to unload groceries upon examination we found that it had been screwed on and glued prior to our arrival, that's not all- When sitting at the dining room table my 70 year old grandma sat in the end chair which then also broke, upon examining that we saw that the front left leg was also glued and screwed on prior to our arrival.
Lastly, we were told all roofing construction would be done prior to our arrival, and although it was not happening on our building, the building my brother was staying in was definitely not done and when the resumed working on it during the week they cautioned off his patio and he wasn't even allowed to go out on the back porch, now we know things happen and these fixes are important, but it would have been nice prior to arrival to be informed the construction would still be happening.

The pool and bbq area are nice, we did take advantage of those. Overall we enjoyed our stay- but if you are looking to walk right out to swimable ocean water- advice you stay further south or west for sure.

We had a great time at #109 Kaha Lani. Perfect central location for exploring the island. Being beside Lydgate Park was a real bonus. Many on the island recommended we visit Lydgate as one of the top 5 destinations so it was great to be right there. The property was as described. The condo was clean and the pool was great. Overall a great experience for us and the two kids.

Unfortunately, we only had the chance to stay for 4 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer because this unit is a gem. It offers a perfect location on the island because it is central to all the tourist attractions and is only a short drive to/from the airport. In addition, it provides a perfect location within the complex itself, given its beautiful views of the ocean and close proximity to the pool. For those who enjoy swimming in the ocean, a short walk along the ocean takes you to a beach where kids and adults can safely swim.

The lack of air conditioning was worrisome at first, but it turned out that the air temperature wasn't the issue. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that, since there is no A/C, the windows must be left open all the time and therefore, noise from the parking lot and from other units can be an issue at night (and from the roosters in the very early morning). My suggestion is to use the provided fans to "drown out" the noise.

The unit was very clean and was well equipped. The ground floor unit location is a bonus because you don't have to haul your stuff (suitcases, groceries, etc.) up and down stairs.

We hope that we have the opportunity to return to Kaua'i someday and if this unit continues to be managed as well as it is today, we would definitely book this unit again.

We had the most beautiful stay at Kaha Lani. The condo was perfectly situated. It was close to the beautiful pool which was perfect for my mom. The proximity to the pool made it possible for my mom to enjoy it every day. The view from our lanai was breathtaking! We had such a beautiful spot in which to enjoy the ocean. The keyless entry was also great. We could leave everything behind and enjoy a walk or swim in the ocean. Thanks you for making this possible.

Close to everything (main attractions, beachs, shops and airport). Nice and clean resort, people are kind and helpful. The unit is great. We would have appreciate more "basic" supply (only one extra toilet paper for 10days, no garbage bags). The laundry system needs to be adjusted to accept everybody's credit card (we had to buy a prepaid card which was complicated for non-US visitor). Overall is a good experience and we recommend this great spot !

Pros: Great location and view. The furniture and overall design was nice and there were beach chairs and umbrellas to use. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything worked. It was close to the pool and bbq grills. Cons: The towel bar and tp holder were loose and fell off easily (probably just needs a screw tightened) and the toilet was a little wobbly. It was a bit dusty around the edges, especially around the refrigerator which is probably due to be pulled out and vacuumed.

We really liked our condo. It was centrally located so we could go to The North Shore or the South shore in a reasonable amount of time. 1 hour to Hanalei Bay & 30 minutes to Poipu Beach. It was also a short drive to the airport, WalMart or Safeway. It was clean & quiet and very well stocked. We cooked in the kitchen, made coffee in both the coffee pot & their French press & grilled steaks by the pool one night too. We used the beach chairs, umbrella & small ice chest everyday. The patio looks out into the pool & beyond that is a short walk to the ocean. We watched the sunrise every morning. The only thing I have to warn you about is there is no a/c. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms & 2 floor fans. We also went & bought a third fan because we like it to be cool when we sleep. Other than that the place was absolutely perfect!

We overall had a good stay. Keep in mind there's no air conditioning in this unit & it gets very hot. There were ceiling fans in each room, plus 2 additional upright fans. We weren't real crazy about the bed. Some of the slats had fell down & when siting down at the end of the bed the mattress gave way & I fell into the frame. The sides were wood & was a little uncomfortable getting in & out of bed. Being on the ground floor was nice & the pool was right outside the unit. It was so nice listening to the ocean. I was disappointed though because the ocean access wasn't good, plus it was very strong & rough waves coming in. There were lots of beaches around the Island that were very nice to swim at. The laundry facilities were very close to our unit & it had brand new washers & dryers in there. It was easy to get to other locations on the Island from where we were staying.

We stayed in Kaha Lani #109 for the third time (this was the first time under new ownership). This is a beautiful place and a good location. Unfortunately the Lydgate lagoon was still filled with driftwood from a storm several weeks ago and the county had not made any effort to clean it up. We went to swim in there anyway and had to evade the driftwood. We also helped to fish some of it out of the water and piled it up on shore. Fortunately our return to the airport on April 15 was not affected by the storm damage suffered in northern parts of the island, where tourists were stranded for several days.

The owner we rented from sold this condo a few weeks before our stay. Consequently some of the perks that were promised to us were not provided. For instance, a bottle of champagne for our anniversary, coffee and teas, tropical soaps and shampoos and down pillows. Our towels and linens were only changed once in 8 days, and they took the pillowcases that I had brought from home that I had put on the two extra pillows. The condo location is very nice and the furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked.

I have stayed at Kaha Lani in the past and will plan to come again in the future. Love the location and condo was beautifully appointed.
