Kapaa Shore Resort B118, Ocean-view

Had a great time. Condo was clean and had everything you need for a great experience. Amazing ocean views, steps from the pool and laundry.Short drive to Safeway and town. The bedroom had air which is a plus. Great for a family. Beautiful greenbelt and the grounds are very nice. . Claire in the management office was fantastic.!!! Very polite, professional and very helpful. Always there to help.

This place was exactly what we were looking for! Very clean. The reason for my 4/5 overall is because the furniture is a bit old, I prefer white linens just to make sure everything is clean, and there was no full length mirror. The beach stuff is a bit old but it works. The unit has everything that you need! The patio is a dream. My son had the best time watching the sunrise every morning. We had an amazing experience and will be back!! Customer service and communication with the property management was exceptional. They are so sweet! They really made this a dream vacation.

B118 Ocean view stands out as a vacation rental as this location is literally steps from the ocean to experience the sounds of the waves and experience each new amazing sunrise! The location is perfectly situated between Princeville and Poipu. Condo is nicely decorated and very inviting and stocked with normal kitchen items.

Great location for easy accessibility to the rest of the island. I appreciated the first floor location and nearby walking path that I walked morning & evening. Hearing waves on lanai and daily sunrise were highlights. Conveniently located close to Safeway & Papayas (health food store), as well as coffee shops, restaurants, all within walking distance. Kitchen well equipped and had everything I needed. Great stay!

Great place! We really appreciated the comfy king-size bed and all of the extras that made this a home away from home. A good upgrade would be a new mattress for the uncomfortable sofa bed. Loved the view and access to the pool from the lanai. Response from staff was great, too!

Kapaa Shore is a beautiful property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Oct/Nov of this year. The living areas were clean and comfortable. It is very easy to find and in a great area for walking to nearby places. The only complaint that I can think of is the tight parking. If you have a larger size SUV, its good to remember to park in the area closer to the office as those spaces seem to be a bit bigger and there is more room to navigate the lot. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Only thing missing was AC. But not the end of the world by any means. The bed was very comfortable in the room but because the heat and stuffiness we decided to pull out the couch bed and slept in the living room instead. This may not have been as comfy as the bedroom matttress but we were able to literally wake up to a view of the sunrise instead! First morning we walked to the beach (not even a two min walk) to watch the sunrise and get pictures. The kitchen was stalked with any amenities we could have needed. we purchased sunblock the first day while grocery shopping just to find several already in the bathroom closet. This location was close to all necessities while having all the needs in the unit at an affordable price. I could never remember the access code for the front door, but luckily I automatically connected to the Wi-Fi and just kept opening the hospitality app to view the code. This unit was highly worth it!

Very nice place, with an ocean view and swimming pool, next to it, which we booked last minute and turned out to be everything that we were hoping for. Having a Kitchen was helpful and it had all kinds of things to help cook if needed and even starting supplies. Being on the ground floor was very convenient. And grounds were landscapes and maintained well. Would book again for sure.

Our family rented two condos at this property for eight of us. Our unit was on the first floor, where we could watch beautiful sunrises right from our living room. Ceiling fans made the temperature perfect day and night, bed was very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. This property is an easy walk to grocery stores and downtown Kapaa and midway between Hanalei and Poipu, so we were able to enjoy everything we wanted to on the island. We were quite pleased with this rental and would easily consider it again.

We stayed for a week at the kappa Shore Resort #118. The condo is just like the pictures. It has nice towels and a lovely living room leading to a lani. I used the pool every day. It is not a hot pool. There is a hot tub but certainly a pleasant swimming pool. There are extras at the condo that we used such as beach chairs and beach towels. There is a lovely walking path just outside the condo.

We spent a week at the condo to celebrate December birthdays. The unit is clean, has nice furniture and comes well equipped. It is a ground floor unit we enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunrise.

We very much enjoyed our stay in #118. The condo was very clean, well appointed, a complete kitchen with everything you can think of available, plenty of towels and bedding for the pull-out bed and especially nice, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella available to take to the beach. Thank you to the ownerfor everything 8n the unit so well thought out to make our stay comfortable! The grounds were clean with beautiful views of the ocean, very peaceful location and centrally located to get to the east and west locations on the island. Grocery and restaurants are within walking distance. Prior to arrivin, Garden Isle Properties were very responsive, answering questions promptly. Thank you for making our stay on Kauai wonderful!

I was traveling alone and felt safe and comfortable at this unit. The support staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help explain the state covid clearance requirements & assist me with information to arrange for travel to the airport. So thankful and would certainly stay again! The location was very clean and had nice features in the kitchen and staples.

As we arrived at Kapaa Shore to begin our stay, I felt some concern. The tennis court and parking lot are in state of disrepair and they gave us a sense that the property might be unsafe and badly maintained and run down. The front door of our unit didn't change that impression, as the screen door just made the place look like an old, cheap motel.
We were quite relieved when we stepped inside the unit to find it very well maintained and nicely appointed. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. And the view out the lanai door, across the grounds and pool to the beautiful palm trees and the ocean, was lovely.
The unit was a little bit dark, though. And I found that the always-on lights along the front walkway shone into the bedroom at night.
It was disappointing that the hot tub was completely closed and that the pool hours were very restricted, especially since both looked really nice.
The property is located very conveniently to restaurants and the grocery store, making it easy to leave our car behind and walk.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about Kapaa Shore Resort. I think that with some increased effort to restore curb appeal the management company could make this a highly-desirable property all-around.

It was a convenient location, near many amenities. No ocean swimming, but the grounds and pool were nice. Very enjoyable stay!

We enjoyed the well-maintained condo and property. The view was beautiful and sunrise amazing. Although there is no air conditioning, the sea breezes kept us comfortable. The pool was really clean and we enjoyed it. There are only 3 buildings in the complex and most are time share units. The front desk was helpful with storing luggage and providing access to a hospitality room where we could change into island clothes after the flight. Other guests were friendly.

Loved our stay. What a beautiful place to stay. The condo was fully stocked and the grounds were well maintained. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat! The location is perfect. Especially enjoyed picking up breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls at the little bakery in the Safeway/ABC parking lot on our way to the beach. Delicious! Pietro's Pizza in Lihue has a great pizza and excellent entertainment on Saturday nights (Great accordion player! Be sure to leave him a tip!)

Condo has a gorgeous view and was very clean! Being on ground floor meant easy access to pool, ocean, BBQ area, car, laundry, office, walking trail. Kitchen was well equiped (only issue was garbage disposal did not work at all. All food scraps went in trash). Comfy king size bed, plenty of towels, floor fans helped cool us at night. NO BUGS INSIDE OR OUT WHICH WAS HUGE FOR ME. Everyone was friendly & helpful. We were never bothered by noise from other guests. I was able to swim laps, pool was not crowded esp in am. Mgmt did a great job keeping grounds lush & beautiful. Manicured lawns, beautiful flowers, walkways & pool furniture kept clean. Trash area & laundry room VERY CLEAN. Entire complex was immeculate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kapaa Shore Resort. It was quiet and comfortable. We were a little nervous when we got there and found there was no air conditioning. But, we faced the ocean and got a lovely breeze all day long. The weather cooperated and every day had some sun and it never got too hot or too cold, although it was too dangerous to snorkel. The place had not been cleaned properly before we arrived. But, we called and someone came over right away and got everything sparkling. The kitchen and bedrooms were well stocked. All in all it was a wonderful break from rainy Washington. We will recommend it to our friends.

We had an overall wonderful stay here! It was super clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location! We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the back porch overlooking the beautiful grounds and ocean. The only thing my husband would have wanted was AC (we Oregonians aren't used to the humidity!). We would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Kapaa Shorts 118. The condo was well-outfitted with everything you needed for your stay. The king size bed was very comfortable. The towels were soft and fluffy - not what you usually find in a "hotel" setting - a welcomed surprise. On our one sunny day, we enjoyed ziplining at Koloa Zipline followed by a meal at Duke's. We would recommend this condo for friends and family and hope to be back again ourselves.

No worries . Check in and out was on a app . No contact with a person but I guess thats the new thing . Unit was very clean even in the corners . Unit had a musty smell No a/c , but after opening the windows and doors the tropical breeze eliminated that issue .. never seen a pool and hot tub so clean .. the water sparkled... every morning rain or shine the pool staff was out there . Grounds well kept and felt very safe there . Tvs on the small side but watching tv on vacation was not a priority. Bath a good size with a pocket door separating the sink area from the bowl and shower area . Would recommend to anyone who wants to go and enjoy their beautiful island .. mahalo..

The accommodations were wonderful however the weather could have been better. This unit has every amenity you could want in a vacation rental. We had a wonderful time even though we spent more time inside than we had expected.

This condo is in a great liacation in the east side of the island making it so convenient for visit north or south. We had lots of great things in Kapaa and it was a short drive to so many restaurant, food trucks beaches, adventures. The rental is just as is shown in the pictures...right out the lanai is the pool and beyond that the ocean. We sat in the hot tub almost every. Ugh this and enjoyed chatting with other tenants. Condo was clean and comfortable.

Ground level unit made it convenient to walk to ocean & pool. Great spot to lounge by the ocean but limited access to the water. Complex is older but unit was comfortable with all the amenities needed. Kitchen was adequately stocked including some spices. We had my 98 year old mother with us and the view and location was perfect for us. Ideally located to pool, parking, and office. Would love to come back again.

My husband and I just wrapped up our 10 day honeymoon on Kauai, and our stay at Kapaa Shores, #118 and we are so happy with our stay there! We went the VRBO route because we love the condo feel, and a full kitchen as we love to cook! The price per night vs a hotel is SO much cheaper, & I was nervous about what we would find! The place isn't as fancy as a 5star resort, but it was perfect for us! It was extremely clean, updated kitchen and bath, & stocked with everything you could ever need! They had netflix and wifi, Guidebooks, beach chairs, beach towels, ,coolers, and there are about 6 grills out by the beach! It looked just like the pictures online! We were able to do laundry onsite, the patio right in the ground floor is an easy walk to the pool and hot tub, & everyone we met in the pool and around the resort was so incredibly nice! Check in and check out was extremely easy, quick, & painless, and painters were coming in to paint the place just as we left so I imagine it will be even more updated when the next group gets in there! Though the north shore and Poipu area are the more popular locations, Kapaa was so perfect because it's right in the middle and we were able to get anywhere on the island quickly and easily! When we go back we would stay in Kapaa again just because of the easy access to all parts! We were able to chase the sunshine each day! Management was so nice and helpful too! " Thank you Kapaa Shores for such a clean and nice place to stay during one the best trips of our lives! Would definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is convenient and the kitchen has everything you need in it. My only complaint was the people upstairs were very loud, but fortunately they were not up late stomping around.

The condo was roomy, comfortable and had all the conveniences of home. Right by the pool with a view of the ocean from the living room. Others in our family have come here before over the last few years. Now I know why.

Unlike other places it has no a/c but the breeze off the ocean was just right to keep us cool. The property is kept very clean and everything was nice. Well worth it to stay here!

We truly enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back in the future, as long as there is no construction. We would have liked to have known about the construction and health issues that closed the pool in advance. Otherwise all was great.

Unit #118 is a wonderful ground floor unit which looks toward the pool and the ocean beyond. The unit is well equipped with bath and kitchen accessories, only thing missing was shampoo and sunscreen (which we left because it was too large for our carry on luggage).

Overall we loved this unit--it was great to be able to walk out onto the lanai and then over to the pool. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked, and the decor was tasteful. Everything was very clean and well-taken care of. Our only complaints would be the noise, from both the street outside and the unit above, and towards the end of our stay they did a pesticide application while we were out, which we were informed of and were fine with, but then our front door was left unlocked and ajar for several hours until we came back, with our valuables inside. But overall we would definitely recommend this unit.

We had a wonderful stay in Kapaa. The furnishings were better than the photos and the kitchen had absolutely everything you needed. The only items that I would like to mention are: 1-only one light bulb out of 3 was working in bathroom making it near impossible to put on makeup, 2-the bathroom drain stopper doesn't work which caused me to go out and get paper towel to put over the drain when putting in/out contacts, and 3-the sheets on the bed were SO stained. They smelled clean, but need to be retired!! These are all property management issues. Thanks

We truly loved our unit at Kapaa Shores. We've been staying at this resort on and off for 25 years and have decided that 1st floor units are the best - so convenient to walk in and out right to the pool and beach! The unit was very well appointed, especially in the kitchen, which made cooking meals a breeze. Four of us stayed in the unit and with the pull-out couch, we were all comfortable. We were sad to see that the tennis court no longer exists, but we enjoyed the shuffleboard and BBQs. The view of the sunset from the lanai can't be beat! We can't wait to go back.

We normally don't stay on the ground floor, but this updated end unit was quite and so easy to stroll out to the beach or hot tub, instead of walking up and down stairs. Great choice for us.
