We loved our stay in Kauai. This home was tucked away and off the beaten path. I would definitely stay here again. It was easy to get the north and south end of the island from here. The home was equipped with everything you need.

Our Oahu company got a project in Lihue. The house was in walking distance to the work place. Everything was just perfect. Beautiful big house, where winding down after work was a real pleasure. The property management company was the best. They followed up regularly to assure that everything was fine. I'm sure if there had been an issue they would have acted immediately. We felt very well taken care of. Thank you for making this a unique experience! It made work feel like a vacation :-)

We enjoyed our stay at Na Hoa River Home. The rooms were clean, and nearly everything met our expectations. If we had to find something to criticize, it would be the barbecue. It was located downstairs without any terrace nearby. Unfortunately, an uncomplicated barbecue was not possible. But that's complaining at a high level.

We were looking for a rental close to everything. Even with the bridge closed, the alternative route linked you right to shopping and dinning.
The yard was peaceful. Yes the chickens are noisy. But overall, the space was peaceful and being right on the water. (My husband was excited because they had an OC6 Canoe club right across the street)

We recently stayed at the Na Hoa River home and it was a perfect place for our 'Ohana. We recently lost our home in the Lahaina Wildfire and needed to get off Maui to relax and clear our minds. The Na Hoa Home was spacious and the A/C was wonderful. It is a little outdated but we didn't mind. There was a enough room in the carport for 2 cars. The residence came with extra beach towels and bedding for our kids to sleep on the couch. Garden Island Properties was great to work with and even provided arrival amenities and groceries for us to enjoy during our stay. We highly recommend the residence for families wanting to explore the entire island. It's a great central location!

Kanani was absolutely terrific. It was beautifully laid out; plenty of space, and every amenity one could ask for. The kitchen was spacious, it had a fabulous living room, including an interesting and informative small library (including an extensive collection of Hawaiiana). There are many other amenities (stereo; CD's; television), and appliances (industrial-sized washer and dryer). Vehicles are parked under the living space. The house itself is modern (it surely has ben renovated), beautifully appointed, and fully modernized. The location was its least attractive quality, off the beaten trail, in a relatively secluded neighborhood, just off an industrial section of Lihue. Regardless, this hardly diminished the attractive qualities of this house. After a day of sight-seeing and/or time at the beaches, Kanani was a welcome refuge: cool (there is very functional air-conditioning w/ ceiling), comfortable and genuinely relaxing. It is clearly a home; not a hotel.

The house was cozy and comforting. Each room was spotless and relaxing except the room without AC which gets a little stuffy but that was to be expected from the description. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend for anyone staying in Lihue on vacation. Location made it very convenient to get anywhere you needed or wanted to go relatively quickly. Will stay here again when coming back, Mahalo.

This house was fantastic! We stayed on Kauai for a week, so we were looking for a spacious and centrally located place to stay. This is a perfect house for a family of four. Spacious master and two good sized additional bedrooms. One bedroom does not have AC, but we stayed during the hottest month of the year and I had no complaints. Living room/kitchen also has great AC. Nice view of the lush mountains as well as the harbor. The house feels very private with a hedge blocking the street view and a great backyard. If you are planning on exploring the entire island, stay here. Short drive to plenty of excursions and beaches. The host also provides gear such as boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach umbrella, and coolers. Locals frequent the park across the street and are all very nice. I would recommend this house to anyone.

the house and patio were immaculate. view of mountains was awesome. rooms were kinda stuffy, not much air flow, but the kitchen/living/dining rooms were all open and very comfortable. i gave it a 4 for cleanliness because huse was very clean, but the outside had trash laying around everywhere. probably due to activities taking place in the streets every night. nothing that bothered us. we were in a perfect location for going to north shore one day and south shore next day highly recommend this place for anytime of the year but summer

The Na Hoa River House was in an old neighborhood near the Kauai Canoe Club and the Post of Nawiliwili. It was a welcome respite from the manic tourist filled Kanapali Beach, but close enough the make using the beach and the facilities easy. The house was spotless and fully equipped with kitchen and beach equipment. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, the works. Quiet and comfortable. Central island location made access to north and west easy.

The location of the home was the best on the island! The views, the drive to either side of the island, the neighbors across the street, it was just wonderful. And the geckos on the wall, not decoration, haha! That was fun to discover. We loved our Na Hoa home! It was central to all of our needs and was the nice quiet get away we needed with our family. The kitchen was stocked with everything we wanted. We felt a little bit like the 3 bears when it came to the beds. One was really hard, the other somewhat hard and the other the nice, soft supportive pillow top that we preferred. There were plenty of linens for use in the home and going to the beach. The laundry worked perfect. We enjoyed such a comfortable stay!

The rental was in great condition and matched the online descriptions to a tee! Fully equipped kitchen with spices/condiments. Perfect setting for our visit and in a great location. We could easily walk to beaches nearby.

This house was in a neighborhood setting with limited views of river and mountains. It was a little out of the way but very short drives to shopping, airport, beaches and sightseeing. We took advantage of the lemon and limes in the backyard. Was impressed with immediate responses from property manger when we had a couple questions/comments during our stay. Also took a fishing charter out of the marina - just a 5 minute walk. But be prepared to use earplugs to sleep - round the clock roosters - but you find them all over the island. Our group found it a great place to relax and use as a base to explore all parts of the island.

The rental process was seamless. When I had questions their response was within 24 hours or sooner. Everything you needed to know is at your fingertips. I would rent a vacation rental again.
The island of Kauai is beautiful, relaxing, and worth visiting again.

Everything was great! Easy to find, central location on the island. Only thing that would make it better would be hammocks on the lanai or below the house. Never did find outdoor shower....

We spent 9 great nights in this well equipped home. Easy to deal with rental company and very very responsive to questions and issues

We really enjoyed staying at Na Hoa River home while on Kauai for four days. The location was great, and we really enjoyed the views of the ocean and mountains from the porch. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only downside were the roosters (and neighboring Turkeys) that made a lot of noise early in the morning. Ear plugs would help for those noise sensitive. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and check in was super easy.

Our family of 6 adults rented this house and it was perfect for us! Layout was great for family meals and bedrooms were cozy.
The location was VERY convenient. There were quite a few people using the
boat harbor directly across the street but it was not a problem for us. We would definitely rent again!

Good except for the neighborhood. Roosters crowing all night and people spending the night at the park across the street.

The Na Hoa River home worked great for our vacation in Kauai. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open kitchen / living space, we had plenty of space to have meals together and enjoy the beautiful Mountain View. Kalapaki beach is less than a mile from the house and was very convenient to stop by between our other adventures on the island. The nearby harbor has an industrial feel and the Kaiola Canoe Club gets lots of local visitors so the house is much more immersed in the local island culture than the nearby resorts. If thats what youre looking for, this is the place for you.

Great location! Peaceful setting with huge covered deck. My favorite was all the windows which provided views from the entire kitchen, dining and living room. The water view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the canoes. Clean and well equipped. I would book again!

We stayed at this location for five nights prior to heading to the West side for a wedding. It was absolutely perfect for our needs because of the interior size and location from Costco, family and airport. We were staying with two young children and they had everything we needed - pack n play, high chair, beach items (umbrella, chairs, etc.). The living area was plenty of space for the kids to play. Loved having the washer/dryer too. The first evening was a bit warm when we arrived but it cooled down the following days so we didn't have any issues with temperature after that night. There are also many fans (ceiling, at least two additional fans per room).

Management was very responsive and helpful with the entire process.

Pros:
- Size of living area made it very comfortable
- Size of rooms and multiple fans made it very comfortable
- Patio for morning coffee - the view was amazing
- Amenities were great - kids stuff, towels, washer/dryer, washer/dryer

Things to consider:
- We should have purchased a bag of ice because the ice-maker didn't keep up with our needs
- Location near harbor allows people to hang out in the evening so just be aware/diligent

WE had a wonderful time at the Na Hoa Rental. It was clean, welcoming, beautiful and serene. I would recommend this vacation home to all.

Personally loved the location. Not far from all hiways and attractions. Stayed here with family of 6, more than enough room to spread out. Well equipped kitchen and enough bathrooms for all. Wished we'd known they were filming Jurassic Park in the harbor the day we left!

First of all, the house is very comfortable, clean, cozy and it feels like you're just in your own house. The breeze makes it soothing for just relaxing out inside/out of the house. The balcony is fabulous overlooking the mountain and water. Perfect views for nature lovers. Very well mentained.

Location was great - very close to airport, activities, shopping, etc. without being in the middle of the "busyness." It's also an easy drive to both the north shore (Princeville / Hanalei) and south shore / Waimea Canyon areas.

The house gets quite warm in the afternoon - particularly the master bedroom - but cools down pretty quickly once the sun goes down.

This property really gave us a sense of home while visiting the beautiful island of Kauai. We had an excellent experience beginning with the property managers. Booking the house was simple and efficient and Kanani was very helpful. There was one occasion where a staff member had to stop by to fix a sign, but Kanani called me ahead of time to make sure it didn't disrupt us.

The house is exactly as depicted in the pictures. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We liked the spacious kitchen being connected to the living and dining areas. No one felt disconnected when we spent time at the house. The wraparound balcony was also great for enjoying coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening.

The property is situated next to a local park and boat launch, which was concerning at first, but wasn't a problem during our stay. The location was very convenient to most areas of the island without the congestion of tourist traffic.

We really enjoyed staying at this home and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping us have a memorable vacation!

This was a perfect house for our family vacation in Kauai. It was very well stocked and It's central location is perfect for exploring the island.

Relaxing, clean, enjoyable, comfortable, wonderful breeze off the water every night, farm-animal theatrics (and noise), lime-tree is tasty, snorkel gear, boogie boards and extra towels a treat. Also, quiet, except roosters, which are simply a part of life on this island. Neighbors were very nice. Views are fantastic. Pretty quiet roads to run on. A large beach within walking distance. Thank you Garden Island. We will come back.

We stayed for four nights, and didn't want to leave! This place took a little bit of warming up to because of the morning roosters (that start around 3am), but after the first night, I got used to the cooing and was able to sleep. My boyfriend and I rented mopeds and it was easy to get around the area in them (just be considerate of drivers!) the kitchen came in very handy, everything was Very clean, and i really appreciated the washer/dryer... ESP after all of the outdoors activities that we were doing! The only suggestion that I would make is to include some more toiletries like shampoo and soap... the house had some but it seemed more like items left behind by past guests. TV was small with local channels only, but I appreciated that because it forced us to be with nature rather than staying indoors to watch TV! Overall a great experience, and we would definitely return!

I stayed here the past week and it lived up to my expectations and more. The balcony wraps around the house so you can have breakfast and coffee outside before the day starts. The house at all the amenities we were looking for with plenty of sleeping areas. Kanani from garden island prop was extremely helpful with all of my questions. I would recommend bringing your own beach towels though. I highly recommend this prop and would rent again!

It was nice to go out and enjoy the island with all of the other visitors, but it was even nicer to be able to come relax on the porch and enjoy the scenery. The rental had all the amenities we needed. It did get a little warmer than I would like because there is no air conditioning, but they had plenty of fans to help with the heat. We had a great time.

This house was exactly what we needed for our stay on Kauai Island. Our family was there for a state baseball tournament and having the luxury of being in a house instead of a hotel was very convenient. Having to wash uniforms and pack meals for the park everyday this house was perfect. It was very comfortable and clean. There was a lot of space for the six of us. The location was a perfect distance to the park and the area was nice and quiet. Being across the water was a nice touch. The property management company was very fast in responses and very courteous. We would recommend this place to anyone and will be hopefully staying there on all future visits to Kauai.

6 of us attended an outrigger camp for a week. The house was very conveniently located right across the road from Kaiola Canoe Club & central to where we needed to be. We really liked the little neighbourhood. I would stay here again.
