Plantation Hale B13, 2nd Floor

For the most part we enjoyed our stay here at Plantation Hale! The location is good, the place was clean & the ac was great to have but if you’re a light sleeper or in our case we stayed with our baby the traffic noise is loud.
It definitely is one of the more affordable places on the island though so that’s a plus & garden island properties was great to communicate with.

Convenient location, easy arrival and check out. We were mainly only there to sleep and shower so can't comment on use of kitchen. Shower has open entry which allows water to splash or wet the area outside but easy to clean up. Easy parking!

Communication was great, all went smoothly. It’s cute! Not ocean viewing and you get some road noise but the road is blocked from view with bushes which was nice.

Excellent location! Spacious with lots of kitchen utensils and cookware to choose from. Although it states mountain view, please note that you cannot see anything but the trees and flower bushes in front of your balcony which was a disappointment. Tons of towels. Our only complaint was that we had to purchase a $10 laundry card to find out that we had to load another $10 to the card to actually do laundry. There should not be a card to buy a plastic card. Other than that, we were very happy with our choice.

We loved our time in Kaua’i! This location was perfect for us as we were all over the island with plans. The condo was perfect for just us 2. It was very clean, quiet, and came equipped with beach towels and an umbrella. The only downsize was the picture on the listing made it seem the condo had a beach view- which it does not. Perhaps I misread the listing. It was not a big deal to us but we were a little shocked when our view was of shrubbery lol. Still an excellent place to stay and I would recommend.

Beautiful property that is well equiped with all the amenities needed for our 5 day stay. The beds were very comfortable along with a pull out bed on the couch. The Kitchen had everything you needed to cook something quick and had all the dishes needed for families. It was a very short 2-3 minute walk to the local marketplace along with souvenir shops. The front desk was very helpful if you had any questions. Short drive or walk to the nearest beach access, or other shopping centers.

Great location midway to the north and south of Kauai. Walkable to beach, restaurants and many other shopping areas. The grocery store was very convenient across the street and offered a variety of items. The grocery store parking lot also offers a farmers market on certain days by local vendors. The room was as described minus the balcony view of the mountains. The greenery was overgrown so we couldn’t see the mountains as noted.

I have stayed in Kauai a number of times and I like the convenience of Plantation Hale. The condo was fantastic and the layout was perfect for 1 or 2 people. The condo was clean and the furniture was relatively new. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom was away from any noise in the hall. Previous reviews talked about highway noise. There was some but it wasn’t so much that it distributed my sleep. The air conditioning units were quiet and worked well. I enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after big hikes on the island.

This place was centrally located on the island which makes a huge… difference! It never took overly long to get to any location no matter what direction we wanted to travel. I also loved that it was a short walk away from the ocean and that it had a pool and hot tub that you could use. You can hear traffic a little bit from inside the apartment but it wasn’t a problem even for the country girl that I am.

This condo on Garden Island property is extremely well kept inside & outside. The front desk employees are very friendly & helpful. The location is just perfect.

Our condo, Plantation Hale B13 is just beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Plenty of bathroom towels, toiletries & swim towels. Extremely clean. Hugh bonus parking is included at no additional charge.

The only disappointment is the balcony. As the bushes go all the way up to the roof, covering any view. You can only look straight up at the sky.

We will most defiantly be staying here on our next trip to Kauai.

The Coconut Marketplace next door is just a big bonus. With a grocery store with delicious meals. Really excellent fish sandwich. With really nice shops, several restaurants.

The property is nice, they have pools and hot tubs and it’s across the street from the beach. There is a market next door for food and shopping. The condo is located in a good central spot on the island, most things were close by. There is a lot of road work happening in the area which causes traffic, so give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to be. The condo itself is small but perfect for a couple. It does have AC and not all properties on the island do! The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.

Plantation Hale is our favorite. The noise from the main road didn’t bother us, but we kept the sliding door closed. Otherwise, very comfortable & clean unit. The management was always helpful & friendly with the Aloha spirit!

Our one bedroom condo was perfect for my husband and me. Air conditioning was needed and worked well. Resort location was pretty central for exploring the entire island. We will definitely stay here again.

This unit is very tastefully decorated. It has a certain rare elegance that is very relaxing. It is on the second floor and away from the trafficked areas of the complex. It has a beautiful view over trimmed vegetation at the Sleeping Giant (Nouno). The only drawback of the location is highway noise, which the vegetation doesn't screen well.

The property is well maintained and located close to many amenities. The pool and spa are quite popular for children and adults. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. The property is part of a larger resort/tourist area with a small shopping mall with restaurants just a minute walk away. If you are into a social holiday, this is a good spot.

I have no complaints about this rental. I will say the furniture is a bit dated but other than that, no concerns. We were allowed early check-in and when we entered the unit, it was easily visible this unit was extremely clean. The Plantation Hale staff are super nice as well. Though we did not have an ocean view, we did have a breeze and ceiling fans. During our stay, we never had to use the AC. It was a perfectly balanced temperature our entire stay. We have stayed in the Coconut Market area place before including a prior stay at a different Plantation Hale unit. This location is ideal if you want to be in Hanalei one day and/or Waimea Canyon the next. Just an ideal location for how my wife and I travel and explore many of Kauai's beaches. The staff from Garden Island Properties will send periodic government updates regarding traveling in Kauai. In fact, there was one email updating us that a reservation at Hanalei is required. I should have read that email prior to heading over to Hanalei. I own that mistake. In general, Garden Island Properties did a stellar job in preparing us for our vacation and as well, kept us informed on how to enhance our stay. Well done.

This place was so amazing! Such a cute little condo with a lot of space for even up to 8 people if you want! The decor was adorable, everything was very inviting. The room has a completely private balcony which was awesome. The owner left a brita filter and ice cube trays for water and ice which was a nice touch, Kitchen had everything you need. Plenty of towels, comfortable bed and pillows and beautiful scenery! The weather was perfect, we barely needed to use the AC with leaving some windows cracked open. It was also in a great location, walking distance from convenience stores, restaurants, shops and the beach! I would love to stay here again!

The place is nice and relaxing, with the convenience of being close to a shopping center and the beach! My only complaint was the shower design; I'm not sure why the glass wall was only installed half way blocking the water, so shower water would splash out or overflow out onto the floor...

We rented this condo for a month in April 2021 and couldn’t have had a better experience. The location is excellent. The condo itself was perfectly appointed for a long stay, with all the kitchen pots/pans/cookware you’d ever need, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, etc. The decor of the condo was fresh and beachy, and it was extremely clean. We will definitely rent again!

Also big shout out to the team at Garden Island Properties, who were awesome to work with!

The site was a perfect location in Kapaa close but not too close to the airport. Right across the street was the market place so didn’t have to drive looking for dinner. A quick 15 minute drive to our favorite beach. Staff at Plantation Hale and with Garden Island were extremely helpful and friendly as we navigated the COVID-19 regulations and any questions we had. Condo was perfect for our needs with having the kitchen and free parking. Since there were so many pool/spa areas it was like having private pool.

Since this was our first vrbo reservation, we were a bit nervous how it would turn out. We were hoping for a no hassle, convenient, and condo which was as pictured. As it turned out, there were no hassles with checking in, the condo was nicely furnished, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was located near a shopping center which was convenient when we needed something...a short walk. Overall our experience exceeded expectations and when we need a place on Kauai again, we will look to book here again.

Our family of four adults stayed a week, Saturday-Saturday. The unit was exceptionally clean and well supplied, included beach chairs, boogie boards, variety of coolers,beach towels, shopping bag plus full kitchen, cleaning and a few laundry supplies, two large fans, extra bedding. Queen size sofa bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. We knew there was no direct beach access but you can walk to the beach. East side of island so great sunrise views. Very close to Coconut Marketplace - shops, free hula show by local students twice a week plus hula lessons, ABC Store - food, coffee shop, a few groceries and lots of island kitsch. We knew from description we would not have beach view and from a previous visit to the island would be close to the gets a bit noisy in the early morning when road crews put out cones for the traffic contra-flow and there seemed to be accidents every day so lots of emergency vehicles. The AC unit drains onto lanai which has outdoor carpet so it is wet if AC is used. It is a second floor unit so you must use stairs, no elevator. We did not use pools or hot tubs so can’t speak to that. The staff were wonderful. They worked with us on additional time the last day of our trip. Our outgoing flights left several hours after checkout and it was worth it to us to pay a little more for 8 addl hours. We were able to kayak the Wailua River, make a final trip thru Kapa’a and get showers before our 12 hour trip home. I would stay here again.

Right near a marketplace so you can walk over to get whatever you need and only an hour to North or South shore.

An affordable option for a family or small group (3-5) of people. Clean place with a nice location. The coconut market is right beside which is great to experience the local market that takes place every Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Easy check-in, nice pools and laundry facility. Location is ideal to access all parts of the island. The ABC store in the Coconut Marketplace right next door has EVERYTHING - hot meals too! Guests need to remember this is not a hotel; hence the reasonable price. You may need to restock your own toilet paper and soap. No biggee, just come prepared.

My husband and I loved the property Plantation Hale it was newly decorated with a beach vibe, we had everything we needed including beach supplies and A/C !! The Coconut Market was a 2 min walk and my new favorite coffee place was just right across the street. We will use Garden Property again again !!!
